Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework is co-developed with indigenous partners and the Government of Canada to support child development and their families and communities. This culturally rooted document support the diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Metis in British Columbia. It shared visions and principles to better forward the knowledge language, learning and development. the framework is a distinctions based framework which includes a wide range of programs, learning and activities.

This document has its own frame work for First Nations, Inuit and Metis that included principles and goals, priorities and  strategics actions, and

Gender and family diversity section recognizes that multiple people in a community may collective support the raising of a child.
